The Ringer website is pretty awful

i thought bill simmons was going to pull another Grantland but the ringer flat out sucks. i've read some of the articles and they are less than 500 words

there are a few decent articles once a blue moon but i already stopped checking that site. cbs sports.com has dope articles imo

i haven't been on espn.com in 5 years

its not going to work with this format. the ringer is pumping out 10 columns/articles a day and all the writers on his staff besides Tjarks is good

I have it set up where twitter updates me w/ their stories and its always some wack pop culture shyt that I don't even click on

The thing I am learning about blogs/website is content is king. Just look at BSO it's just like the ringer. I'm trying to make my site like that too just daily content that is relevant tho www.fteswl.com I have had fellow posters like @Ziggiy and @Consumed help out would def appreciate any other people who are interested. tried to get that shyt set up on my Feedly but the way the site is setup is straight trash. I don't wanna see articles about Pokemon Go and some TV show with Winona Ryder that I will never watch. Until they break that shyt into sections, I'm not fukkin wit it at all.

Simmons' sports opinions have been pretty terrible for a while now. I'm not surprised it's doing poorly with sports content, particularly if he's the one with final say over content or deciding which direction to go with coverage.

Yup. Even Simmons admitted they are trying a new aproach than with Grantland.

They are going for more "live reaction" stuff than in depth analysis and well thought out pieces. So far it's been really disappointing

It's still early though, Grantland wasn't that good early on too.
