Rise of the Tomb Raider sells 2/3 less than its predecessor

Like this link here says it sold a 3rd of what it did at launch last time.

Well it's on a 3rd of the amount of platforms, so it seems sales are in line with the last game. Even better when considering install base. Tomb raider was never gonna sell as much as Fallout or COD. Using those titles as a indicator of tomb raiders success is asinine.

IMO the timed exclusivity deal was to soften the blow of the loss they would have taken if it dropped on both consoles the same day.

They spent money to have a better catalog of games and hopefully to sell consoles. There's really no indication of their success yet. Still got a long holiday and another year to go.

No one thought the game would go exclusive then sell more. That doesn't even make sense.

MS thought if we already got 1/3 of this successful reboot. Maybe we can steal some of PS4 users with a exclusive window. It's no different reason. MS ain't pay bread just cause. Every indication is saying this game tanked.

These companies don't think like a Stan. There goal isn't to "steal ps4 users" that doesn't even make sense. The couple million they spent is nothing to Microsoft. They spend that much for customer good will all day. And every indication is not pointing to the game tanking. As demonstrated above the game is doing much better than the last when you take install base into account. And Microsoft is saying they are fairly satisfied with the results so far.

And theres still 3 weeks till Christmas, and an entire 12 more months of exclusivity.

Only people calling it a flop are Sony stans with their wishful thinking.

Nope thats not why they would do that. Why pay extra for the same results. Wouldn't they want a bigger return? This is a business move to move more units and they bet on Lara Croft

Why wait when you can play this now? I got a ps4 and an X1 (so no Stan shyt). I'm gonna enjoy the shyt outta this a year before y'all. That's a win to me . How can you be happy waiting? I'm gonna double dip when the PC version arrives, but I couldn't wait to play it. Fallout 4 has most of my time, but I'm finishing this real soon.

Because the PS4/PC versions will clearly be the "Definitive" editions.
