Hell it keeps the devs/company that makes said game u enjoyed employed.Why would I care how many other people bought a game I want to play? However saying its garbage and flopped on one console, but turning around and saying it will do numbers on the next is a bit of an oxymoron and makes the point people are making here moot and exposes what they are really doing.

The ONLY reason why I and many like myself didn't buy it is because there were TOO many games coming out for the holiday season.
I have game of the year type games that I haven't even touched.

And yes, sales do matter. It's the reason we probably wont see a sequel to The Order or Sunset Overdrive anytime soon, if ever.

Plus the game is rated high as hell and nominated for GOY awards. Tomb Raider not going nowhere, it just dropped at the wrong time

I think Steam will be the only place where it sells decently. It may pick up steam(no pun intended) on Xbox One next year as there's going to be several month long droughts on Xbox anyway and Larry owners may be starved for a new game. They can only play Halo for so long.

Not sure what games you're into, but just the first 3-4 months alone we got Uncharted, Street Fighter V, The Division, Quantum Break, Far Cry Primal, Ratchet & Clank, Hitman
Another thing that hurt Tomb Raider is kids today don't understand how big of a deal Lara Croft is/was. Why did Lara have to be a casualty of this war?
