Just before noon on Dec. 2, 2011, police officers spotted Chief Keef, whose real name is Keith Cozart, walking out the front door of his grandmother’s apartment building in the 6100 block of South Michigan, holding a coat over his hands that were in front of his waistband, according to police reports obtained by DNAinfo.com.

When a police officer tried to stop and question Chief Keef, the rapper dropped the coat, flashed a blue-steel handgun and sprinted through the vacant lot next door, according to police reports.

When officers gave chase, Chief Keef — who was 16 at the time — twice turned and pointed the pistol at the officers, according to the police report. The officers “discharged their weapons” but missed, according to the police account.

That shyt was so organic I believe he never really wanted to become a rap star.

Once he got out the hood he visibly fell back on anything rap related even before his debut album dropped.

Kinda genius if you think about it.
If I remember correctly Jimmy Iovine really wanted to sell his story like 50.

Movie and all.

But I think him not showing up to his own video shoot was the beginning of execs understanding he didn’t give a fukk about fame.

Yeah people were calling him slow and retarted because when he finally made it he visibly didn’t give af.

He got his money and left the hood. Tried to help the O Block dudes like Boss Top but they stole from his house. Once he got off papers he left Chicago entirely and left them bum ass nikkas behind and they still in the O. Learned that lesson early. This nikka smart af if you think about it. Except for his pick in women but his baby mamas rarely speak negatively on him so…
