I'm genuinely surprised nobody made a joke about The Self-Hate One disliking the idea of a black champ so much he had no trouble laying down for any white talent.
The Rock knew that once you become a top star, taking a few losses isn't going to hurt your credibility, especially when your as good on the mic as he is. Jericho gets it too.

we talked about something like this in other threads. I know for a fact we talked about this in a Bret thread. The Rock actually uses his position to boost up others. A while ago he gave that cosign to Ricochet on IG. And dude's like Bret be out here shyttin on the business every chance they get. Rock is a good example what actual self-confidence is. He's so good about who he is as a man that he doesn't need to protect his spot.
