And that was the last we saw of The Rock for years..

Yep. The last time he appeared live in a WWE ring until his return in 2011. shyt is WILD when u think about it. I remember on
dudes where making threads discussing whether or not he'd ever return to WWE again, cause for thee longest time it didn't appear that he ever would, now look, The GOAT has blessed the last 5 fukking Wrestlemania's

His returns during that 03-04 period was magic. It was a big deal. The orton and eugene segments were gold too.
Hell, his joint at HOF2008 was pretty piff too. Might even throw in that 2007 video promo he cut for Vince vs Trump. I remember people getting hype off of that alone.
I remember the fantasy matchups people keep talking about they wanted to see. For example, Rock/Cena was the most talked about and the shyt actually happened.
Who remembers the godawful "Rock is a sellout" years during that 7 year gap. I hated that shyt.
He still had to deal with that when he came back too but thankfully it died down for good after Mania 29.
I think folks have finally accepted Rock as the part time special attraction and not the, hes a sellout or should be here every week.
