not always, it deoends on what they do to flip the sample. great example is Mass Appeal by Gangstarr, the samle is one second hidden deep in the middle of a 7 minute song. now if you're into jazzy songs that sound like they're just jamming then maybe the original would be "better" but the best thing about it is how he took something so miniscule and made it incredible.
