First of all its not like the producer did some super crate digging and it was gonna take years to find the sample. You can hear the nikka singing in the background for Christ sakes
Second, I'm not really feeling this whole trend of putting low pass filters over songs with vocals so you pretty much steal the melody and bass and throw your own drums on it. I feel some type of way about nikkas not really "flipping" shyt.
But at the same time, I'm not some stuck in the past ass nikka and I think it's kind of a cool modern day version of the low end theory. It ain't no rules to this shyt.
I like the beat by the way. But as a producer I respect the art of chopping over looping some shyt. The real genius lies in the mix, not the beat.
