Red bull was created for the purpose as being a mixer/chaser that prevents the I'll effects of alcohol(hangover)..

The recipe includes b vitamins for this reason.. alcohol depletes all vitamins. B vitamins are the key(specifically) b1 to alleviate and prevent symptoms from alcohol.

They then marketed it as an "energy drink" to grow profits.. now there's 100s of energy drink options..

Redbull has Taurine in it which is an amnio acid found in muscle material. So they aren't technically wrong. Bulls were the original source animals of choice, another side effect of the meat industry I guess. They dont so this anymore as they can synthetically produce it.
