Here is the latest on the main event for the WWE Payback PPV. Vince McMahon still wants Daniel Bryan vs. Batista as the main event for the show, even though he took the loss in the six-man tag vs. the Shield. Batista is scheduled for tonight's Raw, but is then scheduled to take time off.

If McMahon cannot convince Batista to stay around for the Payback main event with Daniel Bryan, the plan is to move forward with Daniel Bryan vs. Kane in a Buried Alive match. This was the reason that the PPV went off the air with Kane sitting up after the loss and setting off his pyro.

No more Kane matches. Please. No more. :sadbron:
If they're gonna do a filler opponent until SS, go with Sheamus.
Just no more Kane and Bryan.

Please turn Sheamus and let him take Tista spot in Evolution. Every time a stable has been set up its been to elevate talent. Putting Sheamus with them and pushing him as that monster heel would elevate him once again. They seem to have used the IC tournament to do this with Barrett so why not use Evolution to help rebuild Sheamus.

They've got so much that they can do with Bryan that they shouldn't have to go this route. Orton is supposed to get a rematch for one. Then they could turn Sheamus heel like others are suggesting and it could be good since they already have a past history. Then they could revisit the recent Bryan/Wyatt feud too if they wanted too.

Bryan is great enough to make a good match out of anything so I'm not skressed at all. If it's Buried Alive it will make for some entertaining fukkery..

If it's Orton, it'll be good.

If it's Denim, it'll be a fine David/Goliath contest

If it's Sheamus, they've already had a classic at Extreme Rules 2012 so I'd have high hopes for that as well.

Update: The Very Latest on Batista's WWE Status, He & Others Upset

According to F4WOnline.com, Batista, as well as other WWE superstars, are currently upset with money and pay in the company.

PWInsider.com previously reported that Batista did not want to do the job to Daniel Bryan at Payback, but F4WOnline reports the situation is more Batista being frustrated that financially, things are panning out differently than what he was told when he agreed to return to WWE. It's being said the money isn't that great right now, and when you have the kind of money Batista has, it makes it that much easier to walk away from WWE, much like CM Punk did.

With regards to Batista taking time off, he was scheduled to take time off in June anyways, so he decided to make an earlier exit. WWE officials spent most of Sunday trying to convince Batista to stick around and work Payback, but word as of a few hours before his Extreme Rules match is that "things are not looking good" in terms of Batista sticking around.
