After watching the crowd boo "babyface" Roman Reigns out of the building yet again I think to myself how the fukk the WWE was able to make the same damn mistakes with Roman that they did with Cena. So I think to myself where did they originally went wrong with Roman... so I go back to the break up of The Shield:

As a result of that we have gotten A. a piss poor babyface push of Roman and B. Seth Rollins being one of the worst champions of all time only having Rey Mysterio being a worst champion and C. Ambrose being at the same spot he's been in. I think they should have had Roman be the one that betrayed Seth and Dean and became The Authority's Champion, could have played off that he was always the "silent one" so they would have never guessed he was secretly meeting with HHH in joining his crew. Then you could have him did what Batista did with Evolution after he won the championship and STILL could have led to a HHH vs Roman title match at WrestleMania with only this time Roman would have had better results from the crowd.

Meanwhile Seth would have became the #1 babyface in the company by having a CM Punk type of attitude but having the look that the WWE would actually give a push behind with Ambrose a close #2 behind him.

It could have worked...but wasn't Seth always called "The Architect" of The Shield? :jbhmm: it made sense for him to destroy it.

at that time Seth was more poised to have a run (character, Mic ability, in ring ability) so it made sense then... hindsight is 20/20 :yeshrug:

Honestly at that time I thought Ambrose was the one that was poised to have a run: was looked at as the leader of the crew, his eccentric aura was different from anyone on the roster and wasn't annoying, Ambrose could have been the mad dog with The Authority being the ones holding the leash.

I remember at the time being surprised that Rollins was chosen as the heel, he just seemed like a natural babyface to me. To this day I think he's a little miscast as a heel (he can do it, but it seems a little forced and that evil laugh of his always sounds fake as hell).

I thought the heel back then would be Ambrose and he definitely came across as the leader of The Shield.

But in hindsight, I agree that Reigns might have been the best heel choice at that time.

It didn't surprise me that Rollins was chosen as a heel because before the official break-up of the Shield they kinda teased it with Seth:

It always should've been Luger, Perception is reality, He's always been Vince & Hunter's guy. He wouldn't have been given that shytty booking and W-L record that Seth had to deal with.

Seth was booked as a chickenshyt heel, that never would have happened with Roman.

The last couple years would have played out a lot differently, no doubt.

I think EVERYONE thought that Ambrose was gonna turn. They had Reigns always look good and never lose..he wasn't gonna turn heel. That wasn't gonna happen. But Ambrose going face was the surprise and everyone thought Seth might get "jeff Hardy over" as a face too. So that was the mindset back then.

In hindsight we can say that but Roman was over huge back then and I can see their reasoning for him being the babyface.
