LeBron rarely sat in that series - averaged 45 mpg to help counterbalance their losses.

I'm not saying the Cavs didn't miss those players, but they were still a contending team because they had LeBron James and good role players around him. The Warriors losing Curry is a much bigger deal than the Cavs losing those two last season.
