Have you guys seen the upcoming free agent class for PFs and Cs? There's Bosh and everyone else. And by everyone else, I mean guys like Bargnani, Blatche, Gortat, Greg Monroe (fukk no), and Kris Humphries.

You dudes might not like it, but they are not doing anything with a front line rotation of Sacre and whoever else they might sign. Pau is better than anybody they could replace him with outside of Bosh.

And who are those players?

What other options do the Lakers have as far as bigs go? Unless they get Bosh, Pau is basically all they have left. Even if they draft Embiid, they're still gonna need another quality big. There is no LeBron on this team to counteract their lack of quality big men.

Embiid would solve half the issue right there, I'd think an offensive PF that can play some defense would be all we need from there if we get Embiid. Both of you guys are right, in order for this team to be at it's best it needs a balance between those athletic 2 way smalls and defensive minded bigs that provide some offense. To me the good thing is we don't have the burden of having to compete right away so now is the time to be aggressive with this rebuild it can be overwith real quick. Don't forget, we found Hill and he's now one of the players we'd be better off keeping. We gotta make finds like that but the front line and perimeter are important for different reasons. I'm Embiid all the way, but imo only half the job been done if we only got him moving forward post Kobe era. :ehh:

Embiid's going #1 though, so if the Lakers don't get the top pick, they got nothing up front. I hope they bring Hill back, but will he want to return after they saddled him with Pringles the past two seasons? He was on the bench for Ryan Kelly and Robert Sacre for most of this season, even though he's one of the best rebounders in the entire league.

An offensive PF would be nice, but there aren't any available outside of Bosh. So if they can't sign him or draft Embiid, they will not have anything on the front line.

Someone look at these two lists and tell me how LA is building a front line without Gasol:

I actually think they have plenty of athletic wing players now. Henry, Bazemore, Farmar, Johnson, Young and Marshall's proven to be a pretty solid PG in my opinion. They just need proper coaching. All those guys have shown they can be positive contributors and get up and down the floor.

I would much rather have that cap space to go after Love in 2015. If the FO was so stupid we could have gone after Bledsoe this year, then Love next year and with our draft pick we would have been in a better position to compete.

You know Phoenix is matching any offer Bledsoe gets. Also, how are they going to attract a decent coach to LA if they have a bunch of guys on one-year contracts again?

Going after Bledsoe would have been a smarter play than giving Kobe a 25 mil a year deal. If not Bledsoe we still would have had 2 max slots to play with. You would rather miss out on Love to sign Pau and some coach who may or may not sign? How are they going to attract a decent coach with a 34 year old Gasol and 36 year old Kobe coming off an achilles and a knee injury?

Again, Phoenix has already said they're matching any offer for Bledsoe. It doesn't matter how much money LA offered.

We're all in agreement on Kobe's ridiculous contract, but there's nothing that can be done at this point.

They need to have a plan to have enough assets on board to trade for Love during the season; I really think that's the only way they're gonna get him. Is Love gonna wanna sign to a Lakers squad that has less talent than the Wolves? Think about that for a second.

"Oh, and Lakers will still go small ball tonight vs. Memphis, D'Antoni said. Wesley Johnson will guard Marc Gasol, Pau guards Zach Randolph."
Mike D'Antoni: "We want to establish our identity. This is how we're going to play and we're going to get better at it"
:ahh: That tank life brehs.

We’re surprised the Cavs did not move Luol Deng. He’ll be gone on July 1, no later than a minute past midnight, and despite an Achilles injury that prevents him from practicing on most days, he’ll be high on everyone’s free-agent list.

The Mavs, Lakers, Celtics, Magic and Charlotte are all interested. Why not stay in Cleveland? Kyrie Irving doesn’t make players around him better and Dion Waiters is a me-first player.
It seems most GMs feel Bosh (and not Anthony) is the second biggest potential prize on the upcoming market. But if James goes back to the Heat, Bosh will, too. If not, the Lakers are secretly interested, sources said.

:wtf: Bazemore really is becoming a ball hog out there. :rudy:

I know.

And he's not a starting caliber player yet. Nick Young is better than him and so is Xavier Henry to me
