It is only fitting that the city that invented hip hop host one of the biggest hip hop festival the country has ever seen. The Source 360 has proudly announced that they will be hosting the first annual Music, Art & Culture Expo in the eclectic borough of Brooklyn, from September 19th-21st.

One of the biggest music festivals since Coachella, this event promises to bleed culture into the city and enhance the need for hip hop throughout New York. This pioneering event will be overflowing with trade shows, panels, concerts, celebrity appearances, vendors, and anything else you would hope to find at a hip hop festival.

With the approach of its 25th anniversary, The Source has a reason to celebrate not only the progression and expansion of their magazine and social platforms, but also the evolution of hip hop as a whole. As they plan to commandeer one of the busiest places in America with an onslaught of hip hop fans and pioneers, this much awaited festival has no choice but to be successful.

Hip hop legends like Spike Lee, MC Lyte, Common, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Run DMC, Wu Tang Clan, and more are expected to participate and observe the festivities. These proud New York natives will showcase the development with their mere presence.

The Source recently announced the lineup for the concert that will take place at the Barclays Center on September 20th. The show will be headline by some of NY’s heaviest hitters. Lil Kim, The Diplomats, and the return of The Wu-Tang Clan should be enough to get any hip hop fan interested. Dom Kennedy, Curren$y, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, as well as others will also be taking the stage. The concert alone will make the festival in its entirety an unforgettable piece of hip hop culture.

For 3 days, hip hop will dominate Brooklyn. Whether you are enticed by a spectrum of events that are being announced as the date gets closer, or a list of some of the hugest names in hip hop that continues to grow, The Source360 definitely hosting an event you would be crazy to miss.

"This brisk, stylish and extremely heartfelt portrait of Nas ably stands on its own, marked by an admirable focus on the man and his music rather than hype and hagiography."
—Scott Foundas, Variety
This vivid documentary portrait of rap visionary Nas chronicles his childhood in the Queensbridge housing projects, the rap battles and rivalries of the New York City hip-hop scene, and the obstacles the trailblazing MC overcame to record his landmark 1994 album Illmatic (one of only a handful of records to receive a perfect “five mics” rating from The Source).
