I don't think it was game changing, but moreso prophetic. The South indeed had something to say, but when The South rose to prominence, the message got lost in the sauce. I was listening to Goodie Mob's Soul Food and instantly heard how a lot of Kendrick's new album echoes some of the same statements made on that album.
