i have this movie i need to sit down and watch the whole thing

When they realeased it, the FBI actually had it pulled from the theaters because they thought it would incite riots and idk...change
I watched it at the cultural center out here and some of the people that worked on the film came out and spoke. It was really beautiful to see all these older people who were actually pioneers in our community speak to us about the climate and what they experienced.
There was a young girl there who was 16-17 I believe and she started crying because she was scared that her being black would get her killed or that she won't be able to experience a high quality life. That was so depressing to me...
They also spoke about the black panther party and many of the other organizations that they borrowed their ideals and methods from. Great movie, everyone should see it.

The story was based in Chicago but they had to film the movie in Gary cuz Chicago Mayor Daley was too shook of the books content. Dope ass book and movie. Every Black person should read and watch both.
