After Quantic Dream's three-game deal expired with Sony in 2018, after the release of Detroit: Become Human, the president and founder of the studio, David Cage, began exploring new opportunities and partners.

The rumor was first reported by French YouTuber and ex-journalist Gautoz on September 16, it was reported that "They've [Quantic Dream] now finished their contract with Sony and will be signing with Disney"

In a separate conversation, however, I was also speaking to an individual who provided overwhelming evidence that he had contacts at Quantic Dream and reported that the Star Wars game by the studio has been in the works for around 18 months.

Yeah, not sure how i feel about it tbh. Beyond 2 souls was complete garbage, and Detroit was good but still…. Their output has been inconsistent and David Cage comes with his own set of problems.

I kind of think they benefited more from being a studio largely associated with sony first party then sony benefitted from their output.


Also, theres endless controversy surrounding the studio and David cage like when he got accused of not consenting to showing Ellen (Elliot) page naked at the time. The homophobia stuff, racism, and quantic dreams workplace lawsuits. It’s a mess

Naw the the plot was stupid. And picking and choosing basic black civil rights issues and half assedly applying them to androids was cringe worthy. There were a bunch of other questionable things in that game side from that.
