Yeah, I read this morning, it is almost incomprehensibly bizarre. I spent 40 minutes reading both those stories, before I even got out of bed.

When I was in a halfway house, from some donation box, I read Bernard Kerik's autobiography, this was in 2007, after his downfall had started, and I had never heard of him. That was one of the most egomaniacal memoirs I ever read.

Fascinating how these kinds of minds are so similar, compare to "Dirty John", the paranoia, the bizarre schemes, the preoccupation with surveillance and grandiosity, fixation on money owed

But, this guy preying on Sarah Lawerence undergrads is surreal. Living in the DORM? Living in a one bedroom apartment with like half a dozen people? One victim was so far gone, she engaged in sex work, turning over the profit to Larry Ray, to cover damage inflicted on his summer home!??

This is the ideal application of the new sex trafficking guidelines, used on several higher profile cases lately, hopefully justice can be done here.

The way he was behaving makes you think of those guys who had drugs tested on them in jail.

While he will be charged for defrauding them of some money, it doesn't seem like any of his victims felt like he was incredibly greedy and was just scamming them for money.

His motivation was clearly the fukkery. That he involved / used his daughter for it is even more depraved.

I wonder if he met some cult leader hippy dippy type in jail who inspired him or something.
