rich paul & lonzo prefer the bulls woj been saying bulls the team to watch for lonzo for months, then haynes said it’s in the bag unless there’s a hiccup ,then the br cat said mutual agreement even droppin the contract details. They (bulls & klutch)been talking it’s a wrap griffin almost traded him they trying to build around Zion they have flexibility to add other pieces Lowry or not

We can also press new orleans and force them out of the ball deal by signing ball 5:01 Monday and getting the 72 hour clock started immediately . Lowry and other big free agents likely won't have their minds made up til Friday so we can have ball locked in by Wednesday or Thursday. If ball really wants to Chicago his people get on that immediately

Has to be factored in that a large part of this ball and pelicans divorce is ball wants out and made it clear through his people more than a year ago.

But anything can happen so it has to be a plan b even plan c that AK has def considered

Right on time with what I posted. If ball wants to Chicago he needs to sign 5:01 tomorrow and put new orleans on a quick time clock. Lowry not making a quick decision and has several teams to meet. We can put there back against the wall and they let ball go.

Deals can’t be made official until Friday. Are you sure the clock on the Pels to decide starts Monday and not Friday when deal is made official? (I don’t know answer on this)

Me either , I thought rfa could sign their deal come tomorrow I might be wrong. Regardless my thinking is the same that we need to somehow put the pelicans on the clock and use their pursuit for lowry who will be meeting with multiple teams, against them. But I might be wrong about being able to sign tomorrow.

players and teams can start officially meeting at 5pm CST tomorrow and deals are being verbally agreed to but the league doesnt make anything official until Friday when the moratorium ends

Bulls & Lonzo could agree to a deal tomorrow but it wont be official on NBA papers until Friday, so I assume thats when the 48 hour countdown starts for the Pels to decide to match? If thats the case, it will give the Pels plenty of time to go after Lowry and other targets and still fall back on matching Lonzo if whatever plans fail. Also would put us in a hold until next weekend while any other worthwhile FA's sign deals elsewhere

Im hopeful for Lonzo but worried we'll end up having to pick up scraps the following weekend if/when the Pels have to settle for bringing back Lonzo

Im surprised we havent heard much about Bulls interest in Dinwiddie - I would prefer him over Schroder (who seems to be connected to us)

Dinwiddie is the Pelicans back up
Plan if/when they lose out on Lowry & lonzo according to stein & windhorst

they aren’t using up the 26 mil in cap space they got on lonzo.griffin told Jacque Vaughn to start Kira Lewis & naw lonzo is 5000 his pops on record saying he don’t want to be there

my same fears apply here though, it’s sounds like Lowry to Miami is a lock

so if the Pels lose on Dinwiddie (Dallas, Washington are in on him) then what options do they have but match on Lonzo

we really have to hope they can close on one of these two tomorrow

N.o. drafted pg’s in back to back drafts ,they literally have 2 cheaper options to play pg(unless they plan on moving naw to the 2)naw was hoopin when lonzo was out.they aren’t blowing their cap space on lonzo for 20 + they should use their cap space to supplement the roster like go after Gary Trent jr. the simple fact they think Lowry can have a cp3 effect shows how stupid griffin is

lonzo will be a Chicago bull , unless someone(knicks)offers more like 4 years 100 mil or something. Griffin was close to trading him to the bulls but got greedy & wanted a 1st
