does anyone have an update on what exceptions we can still spend? Lauri sign/trade will be key to bringing back a depth piece

I think one way or another lauri will bring in a piece or he will still be here

from what I understand, the TPE received from the rockets for Theis is for right around the amount of the full MLE.

Caruso has been a plus player every year with the Lakers. His shooting is decent on low volume and it’s improved with each year. One of the best defensive PG in the league and after years of watching Valentine, Archie, Sato, and Coby get destroyed nightly how can you be mad at this signing? Vucci will need all the help he can

caruso makes less than the likes of sato, and is at least very good at defending.

plus he's a decent shooter as well. I like the signing.

He didn't play well against the Suns, but Caruso was generally our best guard defender. And he's strong/smart enough to hold his own against bigger players at times

Maybe , but who for that price? It's still some names solid at the bigs, the crop of available guards are piss poor right now. We dam near might as well just brought arci and valentine back that's the quality that remains out there right now

1 guy I would have loved is patty mills but he getting courted by like 7 teams. The thinking of locking someone in rather then end up with coby gone possibly til December and cheap guys at the wing sits well with me. Just wish it was more 5-6mill per rather then 9.

The fact we could still have access to our non tax payer mle or a 8.3 mill tpe from the theis deal is genius on the part of AK he maximizes every asset to the end. Well done.

He not going to let Lauri go without flipping him for something.

K.c Johnson reporting that thad is up in trade talks. Felt once we got lonzo on the roster we might keep thad. If thad is dealt then it might say that the derozan deal fell through and either AK is flipping lauri for another big or lauri might pick up the qualifying offer and play 1 more year here.
