I finally watched the Temptations movies from start to finish after just catching pieces for years, one of the better doc's on a group and has been watching over and over since. after reading up online about their issues a few things struck as funny when I fully analyzed the situation.....

Melvin Blue nothing can be said about him he was the most consistent one from start to finish, shame touring and being for the group ruined his latter life.........

Paul williams- The most important group member IMO he dominated the early records and snatched Otis's group. Shame a true investigation to his death never happened, given the facts his suicide looks suspect as hell.

Eddie Kendrick- The levelheaded on that didnt take sides, the true brother and friend that certain members needed. I dont blame him for walking out on the group

David Ruffin, he was David Ruffin, he had the voice, the style and the swag. I dont like after how they banished there brother me and time again, yeah he was missing shows and being a ass but that was that coke they should of understood that, Ruffin damn near was begging to be back in the group with the refuse to let you go(jumping on stage), aint too proud to beg go and the bevy of solo tracks My whole world ended the day you left me, yeah those were tracks but they were pleads to his brothers on what the group meant to him. Once again it was that Coke fukking with him. Reading up on things the movies left out Ruffins had a legit beef with Otis and Moton when he hired his own management and lawyers and they began to look into their books

Otis Williams was a Jealous bytchmade nikka hands down, first he kicks Otis out the Group, which is understandable, secondly he kicks Paul williams out after Paul Williams basically told him he'd die without the group, a Paul Williams that gave the Tempts their style n swag, plus Paul was the one sang for Gordy. Then he kicks out Dennis Edwards who he replaced Ruffins with, on some power trip shyt. Once that white boy got in his ear it was all a wrap for everything......

Discuss peeps....

Otis was jealous. David Ruffin was the greatest voice to ever touch a tempts or motown track. Otis hated on everybody and couldn't even carry a record by himself.

GOAT :laff:

Word breh shyt is disgusting how do you get your group strongarmed by like 4 separate nikkas, with his ole hating ass, the movie should how showed Otis kicking out Dennis so the world can see how bytchmade he truly was, but hey he was the narrator:manny:

do you like it better than the jacksons:an american dream?
Very much so, American dream got boring near the last 2 or so hours, after the climax the dropoff was long and boring, contrary to the temptation miniseries which quickly glossed over the replacement years and deaths........

:pacspit: at Otis Williams bytch ass trying to accept the Rock n Roll Holl of Fame award for himself basically:mindblown:

Seeing the movie I thought of him as a hero then to read the bytchassedness he pulled, a lot of which was left out of the movie and :wow:

Love this movie but gotta disagree with you with regards to Otis and Ruffin. You can't let a dude not show up to practice and show up late each and everytime cuz he had a coke addiction. Loyalty is important but if you gotta be careful to risk everything you have and have earned because you were loyal to someone after several times of giving them second chances.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..

It was a more well made movie..also..I noticed that the VHS and TV versions of the Temptations was missing scenes..the DVD is the best version of the movie..and yes..Otis was a hater..most def.. Dude didn't stand out in his own group..no one gave a fukk about him as a member..they all had key roles in the group and it wouldn't have made a difference if he was just the manager..he added nothing vocally..
