It obviously should be noted that Kenya produces some of the greatest runners in the world also.

Since 1991, Kenya or Ethiopia has produced the Men's winner of the Boston Marathon 23 times. And the 2014 winner (Meb Keflezighi) who runs for the USA, was born in Eritrea.

Kenyan or Ethiopian Women have produced the winner of the Boston Marathon 17 of the last 19 years dating back to 1997.

With regard to Olympic running, Africans in general have accounted for 13 medals (out of a possible 21) since 1988.

[Although it depends if you want to consider the USA's 2004 Silver Medal run by Meb Keflezighi an African medal, then it would be 14)

I wish I could run for distance like that but I just don't enjoy it much.

Anyone on the coli big on running?

I always thought I'd be great in long distance runners. I'm basically built like a Kenyan:pachaha:

Reality sets in when you actually start gettin tired before you even hit 1 mile:mjcry:
LOL
I played baseball, football and basketball growing up. Those are sports where you mainly sprint for a short while at best.
I did run Cross Country one year in 7th or 8th grade. I'll admit it was the best shape of my life, but I wasn't very fast at it. I think I ran 1.25 miles in like 7:45.

Yeah, I think MLB players got it made. You can be out in the field and not have any action coming your way for INNINGS:whew:

Well I played 1B and a Pitcher.

So I was in just about every play.
But let's say you got a double. That's 180 feet (give or take a few feet depending on how you round the bases)...so about 60 yards. So there is some running that can be tiring in baseball.

That actually a fast ass time

I ran a half marathon earlier this year without training and I couldn't walk for a week. By mile 8 my feet gave out and there is nothing more embarrassing than watching g old women run pass you while you barely dragging on :mjcry:
