I will not be supporting this. I remember watching the color purple with my family when I was younger...but the older I got, I was really sickened by the depictions of black men as oppressors in the film.

Anything that promotes anti black missandry and hate towards black men I am violently opposed to.

They should have left this movie alone. This was an all around sad movie. No need to remake this movie at all. Great movie but damn it was depressing.
