I thought the same until they died. I feel like Ali's death was wrapped in a pretty box and sent off even in the sports community. Prince's death lingered longer and had more celebratory send offs. But that could be because his music lives so its easier to celebrate his life. Plus there were rumors surrounding his death and drama concerning his estate.
