it's the "two wrongs don't make a right" mentality.... the originator of the wrong is never held to account because we are too busy scolding the person reacting to the original wrong....
in other words, republicans can blow up a norm and no one says anything... then the dems respond by doing the same thing and get scolded for responding... hence, "both sides"....
the only solution is to move to a "one wrong doesn't make a right" mentality....that'll never happen, but i digress......
