Yea but are these companies going to refuse to do business with the entire UK, or give in to their demands? I'm genuinely ignorant on the matter, but it has me nervous that the UK may not be turning away international tech business but rather openly leading the way into even more draconian surveillance.

If they give in to the UK they have zero shot at standing up to the US, and it will only be a matter of time before the US makes the same if not even harsher demands.

I could be way off with this, if I am let me know but that's my concern here.
