reminds me of when I did some "walks" (door to door political soliciting as a volunteer) in a very rich area.
I was surprised to find that the vast majority were very white and very liberal. They were, of course, the gluten-free/organic only crowd as well.
This applies to my general area only:
the white people in the lower class districts that were closer to the hispanic areas were more conservative. Moreover, whites in the poorest areas were VERY conservative.
Another thing I learned is that all whites and asians are racist. The liberals say a lot anti-racist things, but their actions are racist. They don't live around minorities. They are very scared of minorities. They are first to locked doors or clutch their purses around darkskin people.
Conservative whites tend live closer to minorities, so they are more comfortable around them. They are less affraid of minorities. The poorer white girls date black guys more often than the rich white girls. However, conservative whites are more open about being racist and being proud of their heritage. The conservative whites are less racist in their behavior, but they are way more open about being racist and having white pride or being white nationalists. I could always tell when i was in lower class white neighborhood because obviously the houses were smaller, but every house always had an American flag as opposed to thrme rich white neighborhoods .
when i would "walk" neighborhoods, the poorer whites would talk to me and at least show some respect. When they knew I was working for a conservative group, I would sometimes even get handshakes and other forms of camaraderie (sp). However, I got so much rudeness from the rich whites who were always liberals even before i mentioned who I worked for.
