They don't go ham.
Yeah, When i see the stereotypical Chinese Girl with long black hair, wearing a HnM jacket in the summer (because she doesn't want to get dark), horn rimmed glasses and LV bag. The first thing I think is, "she must be a party girl". And, that's after she rams her car into the freeway railing because she can't drive. Every race has problems.
Asians don't go ham, even South East Asians are very introverted and quiet for the most part. It's pretty annoying, and then they complain about not getting any leadership positions. Maybe it's because they are weak?.. There are plenty of Indians in Leadership positions in fact, the highest ranking people that I answer to right now are Indian Ladies, so I don't think that it's racism (so-called bamboo ceiling). But hey you guys are the experts.

It always did this. AA experiment has proven to be a failure. Time to look into some different more comprehensive strategies. Trying to get a kid into college w/o a decent K-12 education is pretty silly, but that's exactly what AA sought out to do.AA was ok when it was combating racism, and i'm sure it still does that on some levels, but more and more it's promoting mediocrity and shifting the focus away from the shyt pre collegiate education in america, particularly the education available to minorities.

I didn't want to post that. It must happened on accident when I pressed "backspace", and my hand hit the Laptop touchpad. oh well. I can't take it back now.
It's true though. Keep in mind that I am Asian American and proud to be.
Furthermore, I am all for people getting into school based on merit alone, and it seemed like a great idea before 10+ years after prop 187 (or 209 whatever). But how much brain power does certain fields really require? I mean how much do these fields require just to be considered competent? Why not jam a few people into the top schools for the sake of diversity? Will these same people become superstars in their Careers? Probably not. However, they could get by, and put a dent into the income disparity that exists. A mediocre engineer will still be an engineer, and sure, they won't get paid much more than the Median or mean income for an engineer. However, I think just having a URM (under represented minority) as an engineer, even if it's just for decoration, will still be a positive image for the URM population.
There are a lot of Ethiopians and Nigerians in the STEM and finance, but I think African Americans recognize that they are somehow different. There needs to be a positive image to either inspire URMs or, at least, satiate their disruptive urge for revolution brought on by the appearance that they aren't getting their "fair" share of the pie.
whitewashed fukk
I went to a prestigious school like that full of the prototypical nerds. They crush the social aspects of school. Hella wack. I prefer well rounded people not robotic beings.Anyone who went to college in California knows that the universities from private, to CSU, to UC are overwhelmingly Asian.
It kinda ruins the experience of college. Asians are, for the most part, very boring and there presence has an effect on the atmosphere of university. I can only imagine what it would have been like to be in college during the sixties. I am sure it was very exciting. As such, I can see the appeal of more diverse campus.
Affirmative Action is not fair to Asian Americans, but it's not fair to me because my college experience sucked.
