Well of course it has something to do with it. We have two gigantic oceans surrounding us.
Everyone says "don't invade Russia in the winter" but you literally can't invade the US without the greatest Navy on earth. We've got a fukking shooting gallery funnel protecting us to the south and America light protecting us to the north.
Our greatest threats are and will always be domestic. But god forbid we focus on fixing those problems. We'd rather spend all our money shooting brown people overseas.

Cool video - would be better if it was longer and more in depth. I agree with @Billy Hoyle that our greatest threat is domestic. Unless the Mexicans start taking back land
