The majority of US debt is owned by the US and why the hell would a country -
1. Incur the wrath of the US
2. Destroy its own dollar reserve and commit economic suicide?
Furthermore if I owe the bank $5,000 that’s MY problem. If I owe the bank $50,000,000 that’s the BANKS problem.

Federal reserve is who the US is indebted to. The biggest banks in the world own part of the federal reserve. Federal reserve makes money appear out of thin air, "loans" it to the government and the citizens end up owing them.
If dollars become toxic and start hurting your own economy why would you give a fukk about what's happening to America?!
If things go wrong financially the leader has to answer to his own people not the US. Not saving the country can be seen as treason and when citizens want blood guess who's going to get served up on a platter?
America would be too broke to start a war. Where they gonna get oil from? If the dollars gone to shyt you think any OPEC nation is answering the White Houses calls??America has oil but it can't use it because they don't have refining capabilities. All that shyt gets refined overseas.
