• Huge distrust of the mainstream media by the public: Hitler worked hard to achieve this which eventually led to control of the entire media. the next fascist doesn't have to work too hard for this

• Extreme right wing supreme court: The heritage foundation and federalist society ultra right wing court will sign off on the fascist policies (especially the ones that disproportionately affect the "others")

• Most of the military are right wing Maga, all they have to do is replace the leadership (Llyod austin and mark milley) or force them to resign and install a maga fascist to take out the unlawful orders
• The economy is perceived to be bad due to inflation and supply chain issues, that creates a window of opportunity for a fascist populist "saviour"
