I hate when people always compare a show, but can’t escape how much this season is feeling like Atlanta

Only on episode 3 but I’m enjoying it, fukking dude high off meth coming to read the will :dead:

Just finished the season. Overall a more focused story than S1 w/the death of Vince's uncle being the through-line, but I did like some of the diversions that S1 offered. Vanessa Bell Calloway is great as his mom and steals pretty much every scene she's in.

I dig the surreal/absurd humor at times, although I wish the execution was a bit better in areas.

Feel the same way. Overall it’s a good show but there’s some great ideas that either fail to be explored or are not executed too well. I noticed it tries be in the world of “Atlanta/Twin Peaks” surrealism but it falls flat and feels forced at times. The writing could be better but season two is a nice step up.
