So the question remains….whatever happened to Matt ‘Luther Reigns’ Wiese? After his wrestling retirement, Wise became a bodyguard and worked in Las Vegas. He suffered a stroke due to abusing steroids and also had an addiction to pain killers. Luckily, Wiese survived and began a career in acting and film making. Wiese has appeared in both films and television shows such as CSI and Heroes. He currently resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area.
