If I'm remembering correctly, didn't the DVD release add in some weird comic book transition scenes and take out a few things? Is the original cut in circulation to stream or buy?

The original cut is still out there to purchase, but you do have to dig a bit. The steelbook has both versions, though I don't know if the Director's Cut is on streaming, but the one that plays on HBO and Max still is the theatrical.

Yeah, I saw this in a Warriors group. He was known for the Warriors, but also had a big role in A Soldier's Story with Denzel, Robert Townsend, Howard Rollins, and many others.
He was a weak, scared little man. A follower.

Wilkie was the worst character though.

Never seen a movie with so many identifiable Black male characters.
