That plate look gooder ‘na muthafukka. Da nap I’d take afterwards would be epic.
Creole food is soul food.Nobody thinks of Creole as soul food outside of Louisiana.
Crayfish and shrimp is not soul food. Go to any soul food restaurant and they handing you a plate of yams, greens, Mac n cheese, cornbread, and fried chicken.
"hey fam, is there another bathroom besides the one down here?"That plate look gooder ‘na muthafukka. Da nap I’d take afterwards would be epic.
We are African. But I was careful not to put Jollof into the argument.![]()
Lmao the American version of most foods taste better
Unless it’s a black country

You can't convince me that Mexican and Chinese food ain't the same no matter where you're at.

Meaning you can't tell me Mexican food from California is any better than Mexican food from Texas or and South Western state.
All of the food countries I mentioned are “seasoned”.stop weird, where are they from? Since you dont like seasoned food
Italian food in NYC >>>>> Italian Food in Italy![]()
Creole food is soul food.

I think jit kind of slowNo matter the subject, you stay with a weird, often reductive, take.
Presentation is 50% of the battle. True.Well, taste-wise, soul food is up there with all those other cuisines, but it comes down to presentation.
I work in the culinary/food industry, and I've cooked a lot of soul food, but my plates are more appealing. The plate that OP posted, while I'm sure it tastes good, its presentation leaves a lot to be desired. It's the visuals; see Chinese, Italian, Mexican food, etc, tend to fancy up their presentations of certain recipes.
Not all, but many, soul food places tend to focus more on the flavor and not the visual aesthetic. African food is similar as well. The taste is there, but the visuals aren't.
