He was managing Ross and Nicki, it's obvious that they gained from it. It was through the whole Ross transforming into a "dope emcee" and surviving the co history.

eh...good bars (although the Nas shoutout and stronger after Ether came off corny) but you can tell Jay was desperate to be on that song to the point he went from moaning on the radio saying "we need a board!" because Jim was clowning him and then the next week rapping on it...song was too fire and it was itching him so he had to give Jim his acknowledgment and Jim loved it.
