Them and Dallas are the rare examples in the last 25 years... And detroit had a VERY solid 1-5

What was he supposed do? Wait for Dan Gilbert to get him help?
You see how inept that front office is.

I hope you're not one of those guys who think Jordan or Magic or Bird did it by themselves
I'm not saying what he was supposed to do or not supposed to do. But damn, it sure looks good when you got 3 of the top 5 of the NBA Draft of 2003. And these guys are all legitimately great players.
I don't fault him, but I gotta look at this with a steely perspective.

He wanted rings badly so he took the quickest route to get them. It's smart because at the end of they day he has the titles under his belt and can't nobody take that shyt from him.

That being said, 3 number one options joining the same team is the "easy"'way out. It took away from the talent pool in the east and made their finals runs cakewalks.

If Chris Bosh is a true number one option is a different argument.

But the point I'm trying to make is it either takes star power, or a perfectly constructed team to win. I don't see how going to get help that other superstars organizations provide their stars with is a bad thing or the easy way out.

And I have to believe that the east becoming trash has more to do with bad management than Bosh and LeBron leaving their teams.

Can't be mad at him for giving himself the best chance to win titles. He could have stayed in Cleveland like most people wanted and been a hero if he won a title but whose to say if he would have won with them. Would he and whoever (and tell me exactly who Cleveland could have potentially gotten to pair with him if he did resign) have beaten a Miami team with Bosh Wade and let's say a Deron Williams or CP3 since they would have had the money to sign one of them the following offseasons if they hadn't got Bron. Would Bron and Cleveland beat Chicago in Rose's MVP season. Of course this is all speculation and people are going to say that Cleveland could have signed someone too, but they had 7 years to do that and never found a legit star to pair with him.

The Lakers had Shaq, Kobe and Glen Rice.

The Bulls had Jordan, Pippen and Ron Harper.

All 6 were 20 ppg scorers at one point. All 3 were #1 options at one point. :yeshrug:

Glen rice was not a 20ppg player the year before he came to LA. Kobe and Glen rice were not #1 option players the year before LA won their first ring so :camby: don't act dumb
