The whole "sales are irrelevant" argument is dumb as f**k

I know most of you people on here are real slow so Im going to try and break it down

More people spending their money and buying an album= More people wanna hear it. They care about the artist and their music.

Similarly, less people buying an album= Less people wanna hear it.

These are people just like me and you. You dont have a masters in HipHopraphy. You opinion of what's better hip hop music is not better than next mans.

Therefore, if more people (just like me and you) fuk with an album more than another, then that matters.

If your opinion differs from what the majority like. then you are simply in the minority.

Rap Sales matter

P.S- I cant help but notice that posters who really hate sales talk are those whose favorite artists' seem to be flopping

They don't matter as much as everybody thinks they do. Take rappers like Yo Gotti,Spitta,KRIT,Gucci,Future etc..they don't sell shyt but as long as they feed their core fanbase they can tour and make more money than the average rapper with a big budget that might sell more records.

Not to mention the rappers in that pop/techno lane like Pitbull,Flordia and the like, them nikkas is multimillionaires drivin Bugattis doin Superbowl type shows and their albums barely crack 50k.

At the end of the day sales in 2012 just means alot of cac listen to your music.

Sales dont indicate the quality of a product. Case and point, nicki minaj is one of the highest selling rap artists(technically she could be considered pop) but no real rap fan will put nicki in their list of artists they check for.
