used to be in my top 3 but I marathoned it recently and it wasn’t as good as I remembered...that’s not to say it’s bad/trash but I just didn’t look @ it as upper echelon TV the second time around

...also I was not a fan of the jimmy darmondy character like everyone else was...I understood his plight but still felt his character was a huge drag on the show and unfortunately he was too integral a character to overlook...I think that had a huge impact on my enjoyment of the series the 2nd time around

on the flip side dr. narcisse is probably one of my top 5 TV drama characters

i thought the first half of sopranos last season was bad, but the second half is great.

i thought breaking bad last season was very good, although not the best.

i think the wire last season is its worst, but also it's still decent.

last season of Boardwalk Empire is flat out

it doesn't really top the others at their peak imo either.

I feel like Season 3 & Season 4 of BWE gives any of them shows a run for their money

WHen they killed off Jimmy the show became trash . Could have had a whole season of him calling the shots while Nucky had to claw his way back, that shyt would have been . Luciano, Lansky, Rothstein, Capone were far more interesting than Goo-goo-googly eyes

Show was full of wasted potential and it didnt help that HBO killed it off for that rock and roll flop they canceled after like 3 episodes

Wasn't the show runner's fault. The actor is an a$$hole, he's apparently difficult to work with. He killed it in an important role on Hannibal, but then asked off the show.

I'm currently watching through it now for the first time and I'm on season 4 wouldn't say its on the level of shows like the Wire but its still enjoyable.
