Really surprised this thread doesn't have more replies

I'm two episodes in and really liking this. Got recommended this show via the dope thief thread. I watched the 5 episodes of that show currently out and enjoy it. Downloaded this and started watching it and can already discern a pretty big leap in quality of writing and realism between the two.

Bonus is seeing a bunch of familiar faces from the wire but this time on the other side of the cat and mouse game. Marlo as a homicide detective



I will be interested to see the range of some of these actors

Also, Bernthal is killing his role so far

This show was EXCELLENT...I was just recommending it to some homies who haven't seen it. HBO doesn't miss when it comes to crime dramas. There are hella crime topics and cities they could do miniseries about too.

True, but that requires writers who care about and are as knowledgeable about their cities as much as David Simon cares about Baltimore, and are also as good as him and his team at writing.
