I reached out to a web developer I've hired for past projects and after inspecting TheColi he confirmed that he can archive it. Given the overall size of the site (text, images, media content, etc), the initial backup alone will take 3–4 weeks and cost thousands. That doesn't include the cost of hosting the data, periodically updating the backup going forward with recent threads and potentially re-uploading everything should TheColi go offline permanently.
The most straightforward way that I came up with for everyone to support TheColi archive efforts is to make this short film I produced a couple years ago with my college friends called indiscriminate available to stream on Patreon. It's a 17 minute short that we filmed in Washington, DC inspired by true events surrounding police aggression and brutality. Since I was the main producer, I get most of the profits which I'll use to cover the costs of TheColi backup archive. You'll be supporting the archive efforts and getting a reward for your contributions. Also, we can share the film with people we know who would be interested watching, providing additional support to TheColi archive efforts. It costs $9 to stream but I added higher tiers if you want to contribute more. Also to avoid the iOS fees, don't use the Patreon iOS app just get it straight from the Patreon site.

As one of the younger brehs, the stories and wisdom shared on TheColi has personally saved me time and money as far as life choices are concerned. TheColi is a community that deserves to be preserved. Let's do this!

just make sure youre not giving someone $2k to run wget --recursive
