I mean, there are enough VR chat rooms available.
FB/Meta has one, Microsoft Teams has one, etc.
VR chat has been around the longest and is probably the least moderated out of any chatroom, but you can still do certain things and has it’s Coli-like moments.
NBA League Pass has a chatroom where you can actually watch the games in what feels like courtside seats/balconies (even though I have yet to try it myself personally). I can see that being a dope space for Coli dudes to meet up and watch games.
And you don’t necessarily need to talk. I spent most my time in VR chats with my Mic off exploring other people conversations and laughing a lot surprisingly.
Since The Coli is dying as a site as some people say, maybe someone should invest in developing a hiphop/sports space similar to this with different rooms. Not sure how well it will take off (sense VR chats require what people need the most which are VR headsets) but it’s still brand new. Forums and blogging have been around for decades but started slow as well seeing as to how a lot of people didn’t own personal computers in its infancy.
