Most dont, but if things aint end bad and you split and it was your 1st love. Why even take that chance of getting dinner with them? I mean if you don't wanna get back with them, why go catch up and hang out with someone that you've moved past cool or not? Its just a unnecessary risk and potential drama for no reason.

Ok. That makes sense. This changes my point veiw a bit, but remember I said I would bring the guy I'm with. And if my boyfriend says no I would decline with the quickness. I would understand where he is coming from.
