My current fight is still dealing with my mother's death last spring (not COVID) and just not being able to get along with my father--we kinda went at it a few months ago.
I'm watching this right now.

I had my heart to heart with my father last night.
All the traumas, arguments aside,
I just wanted to say I truly love him and left it at that. We cried for a bit.
I recognized that his father could never speak to him like me and him can(about emotions and such)
So I knew that I couldn't expect a man that didn't understand his emotions to be able to treat me with love in a healthy way.
I didn't want one of us to die without anything being said between us. We both have the same life expectancy at this point.
