Concussion fears play a role for sure with the rule changes.

But part of it is also the NFL's fear for the future of the league without this generation's dominant QBs.
So many fukking busts / devastated by injury QBs in the post-2010 era...the league just hit the :merchant:

Thought to themselves...when Tom, Ben, Peyton, Drew, etc. move on...what the fukk r we gonna do??? :towelmax:

How we gonna get these ratings??? :towelmax:

(Remember, casuals drive ratings. Casuals follow big names with story lines. Lose the casuals and you lose billions).

So there's been a concerted attempt to protect QBs...both to extend the careers of the big names and prop up new QBs.

And now...well, here we are :francis:

This is why I always shake my head when people claim brees Brady manning are the best QBs of all time. They played in an era (2004-current) where you cant even play real defense.

:yeshrug: Brady and peyton were both great and were already the best 2 QBs in the league before that point tho. With Brett running close behind
