I remember when I was being recruited out of high school & played in the coca-cola all star game there were more highly south after players than me who had "ATH" by their position on the roster sheet. What happened then & now is the freakishly gifted guys who played QB in HS go to D-1 schools and the coach asks them the rhetorical question of "would you like to go the NFL?". They say yes and are talked into playing another positon besides QB at the start of their college careers.
It happens towards the end of your college career too. There were plenty of black QB's who had good college careers but were told they needed to improve their draft stock by switching positions at the combine. It's just a different set of rules that don't make sense.
yea, like there are kids who are gifted that could be amazing QBs but especially if they dont go to an Elite HS, they end up having to play QB,WR,RB,CB,Safety all at the same time and then get to college and have to move into another role so a white kid can play QB. Thats why I hate when people get on that Blacks can't play QB, the issue is black kids dont have the luxury of being groomed from day one to be a QB like their White Counter parts. For example Cam Newton was one of the few cats in ATL who played QB his entire career while cats like Morgan Burnett and Eric Berry played QB and were good, but also carried their teams on their backs and played every other position too.
