Man, when this debate came up on Nextdoor, that shyt was a warzone with them arguments. Seeing your own people go full tilt when it came to section 8 housing was some wild shyt to see.

I can’t really blame them. Especially when you own a home you can barely afford that you had to scrimp and scrape to save for, that’s already going to appreciate less than the houses owned by your white counterparts. Then they’re going to move in people who are paying $500 in rent and most likely won’t have a man in the house...

It sounds kinda coønish, but a lot of us have seen first hand how decent areas have gone downhill when lower class people move in in mass.
