These haircut prices getting outrageous, and Most of these barbers using that bullshyt spray on stuff so the skills are falling off

At this rate the normal haircut price gonna be $50 in 3-4 years.

Imagine paying $200 a month in haircuts without a tip :picard:
Dam this nikka called it in 2018

Y'all in here saying not to complain about the prices but these cats getting this type of money in 30 minutes to an hour. I ain't knocking them, but what I look like paying $50 - $100 for a 30 minute cut that's going to need to be done again in 1-2 weeks.

Of the barber is good and have a steady clientele, that's possibly $240 to $480 per day. And that's at $30 per head with an hour lunch break from 8-5.

I might need to start cutting and market myself as exclusively for Saturday night club cuts and Sunday morning church cuts and charge $60 per client.

They’re jumping again

In 5 years $100 for a cut won’t even be shocking :mjcry:

By then, some breh gonna invent a helmet where it would give you the fresh fade and it would be done mechanically.

Barbers are flying too close to the sun with the "inflation" excuse, cause never before did inflation make prices go up well over 100% in a few short years. Back in 2018, I was paying only $25 a cut including tip.

Some barbers be making over $700 liquid in a single day. Do you make over $700 in a single day in your job? :stopitslime:

Why do bruhs complain about a $50 cut when Black women go to beauty salons and they pay around $50 or more to get their hair done and they aren't complaining 🤷🏾‍♂️.

My barber (who've I've seeing since I was an adolescent) ain't charging $50 but I don't see what's the big deal about it, women pay more to get their hair done.
Women get washed, conditioned, dried, trimmed, and styled. The comparison is not equal

Yeah but you not talking about cost to rent a chair and taxes. Renting a chair can cost upwards of $1200/month depending on the shop you at.

I have no idea what point you trying to make breh. But I do every well for myself.

Barbers should never be crying about being broke if they make $500+ a day on average. Barbers That needlessly raise their prices over the "inflation" excuse have bad money management, where they passing it down on their clients. 100% and above price raises is not "inflation" its price gouging.

Let's say booth rent is 1200/month. If a barber making $500 daily, that rent is covered in a little over 2 days

I completely agree. I was using my barber specifically. He charges about $30/client and has a steady clientele. He has been able to sustain his business and lifestyle without having to raise his prices.

I have a problem with those raising prices for no reason. They can it if they want but I won't be going.
