Why do people look up to celebrities & musicians to change something? More specifically the black ones. And I am talking on a social level in America.
They might care, but at the end of the day they have one thing that will always be more important....their money. And their oppressors are the ones controlling their money.
That's why I think what Kendrick is doing/trying to do is cool and all, but it means nothing. That's why at the grammys he didn't say, "...and we hate Po Po wanna kill us dead in the street fa sho..."
He didn't want all the flack from the last time, which probably lost him some money. Don't mean to just single him out.
All I'm saying is at the end of the day celebs & musicians are never going to change it.
Becoming Lawyers, Judges, DAs, Mayors, and government officials is what will change it all.
Think about all of our "conscious" entertainers past & present...what did they really do?
