The "good guy with guns" is another right wing mythological creature invented to demonstrate a perfect "common sense" conservative society. A valiant every day hero who, equipped with a gun, will benevolently prioritize risking his own life over his own survival and being back to his own family in a crisis situation.
Forget about the fact that mass murderers are usually suicidal, not looking for a gun fight, and only cares about taking out as much people in a blindsided crowd as possible. Bad guys will surely beware the threat of the good guys with guns. That'll end all this madness...
It's almost as crazy and insulting to victims of racist police violence to be talked down to about the mythological "good cops" as opposed to the "bad cops." Those Police officers who are immune to personal prejudice, corruption, or influence. As if these "good cops", regardless of their personal ethocs, aren't fully supporting, backing, defending, and refusing to condemn their "bad" counterpart; and aren't fully defending systematic institution of their jobs that they know enable "bad cops."
Im ranting. Basically conservatives are stupid.
